Quintessence (from Latin quinta essentia, literally "fifth essence") is the ethereal substance of celestial bodies—the fifth and most perfect element (along with earth, fire, water, and air). The "Kwintesencja" Gallery was born from a passion and a need to experience beauty and art. A created matter that enchants and absorbs us, down to the smallest particle of the creator and their work. We have been involved in design and advertising for 20 years, and for 14 years we have been organizing exhibitions and promoting Polish artists. We maintain close relationships with numerous galleries, organizing many interesting exhibitions, including: Vivian Maier, Milton H. Greene, Jan Saudek, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Zdzisław Beksiński, Zbigniew Rybczyński, Michel Medinger, Ryszard Horowitz, Krzysztof Gierałtowski, Janusz Fogler, Tomasz Sikora, Andrzej Świetlik, Laura Makabresku, The Krasnals, Jacek Sroka, Stanisław Brach, and many other young, talented artists. Galeria Kwintesencja collaborates with many artists, nurturing their legacy and recommending their work.

Beauty or signature?
Investing in art has for years attracted the attention of many collectors and investors seeking alternative ways to increase their capital. However, before deciding to purchase your first work, it's worth considering what truly drives your choice. Is it the artist's reputation, whose works are usually considered "safe investments," or perhaps the true beauty of the art itself, which can capture our attention and heart?
Names are followed by emotions, but not always by value
Buying paintings by famous artists is often perceived as a risk-free investment. Names like Picasso and Warhol are synonymous with a guaranteed return on investment. However, this approach can lead to missing out on opportunities to discover true gems of art that have yet to appreciate in value, yet hold enormous potential. Investing in art should be considered not only from a financial perspective, but also from an aesthetic perspective.
The quintessence of art leży w jej zdolności do wywoływania emocji, wzbudzania refleksji i tworzenia niepowtarzalnej atmosfery.
“Checks” on the wall or pictures that speak to the heart?
The metaphorical "hanging checks on the wall" is a way of thinking that reduces art to a financial investment. Of course, no one denies that art can be an excellent way to invest capital. However, viewing it solely through the prism of potential profits limits its multifaceted nature. Art has the power to evoke emotions, inspire reflection, and even initiate dialogue. Therefore, when making a purchase, it's worth considering beauty, above all else, as it can provide us and others with not only aesthetic but also spiritual experiences.
